From a favorite resource of ours, Creative Bloq has a great article that discusses the secrets behind the branding for the Euro 2016 tournament taking place right now in France. The agency that was awarded the opportunity to develop branding for this tournament, is Brandia Central. When recently watching a match between Northern Ireland and Poland, I noticed the image used for each country was a stroke of Acrylic or Oil paint. When reading this article I learned the agency did intend to combine the rich art history of France and football (Soccer). The art movements that they used to inspire them include: fauvism, abstractionism, art deco and avant-garde.
